Procurement/Sales Match-Making Services
The GALC will provide procurement/purchasing support to midsize
and small companies to assist them in find quality products and
services at a reasonable cost. assist small and midsize companies
approach larger companies with appropriate sales and marketing
plans tailored to the potential customer. Our experienced staff
will work to determine actual needs and prepare a work plan for
your approval. These plans would include a basic market analysis,
lists of competitors and potential suppliers, current pricing plans,
prerequisite qualifying requirements, as determined in the initial
project analysis. We will utilize our reservoir of experienced
executives, business partners, and management team members for
the best solutions at the most reasonable cost with a quick response.
Supply Chain Management Services
The GALC has on staff several executives
proficient in material and product flow utilizing state-of-the-art
software and/or just-in-time methods. We will assist in defining
current practices and comparing to “World Class” practices.
We will provide suggestions and project plans to assist with
improvements in flow and reductions of transportation costs and
inventory. Project plans will include the training staff to implement
changes and maintain the changes well into the future.
Lean Manufacturing/Cost Reduction Programs
The GALC can provide on-site training and project management in
the setup and implementation of lean manufacturing and cost reduction
programs. We provide [basic costs only] initial audits to determine
the potential for improvements to include a brief summary of the
opportunities. Based on findings and observations, we will propose
projects and activities to help your company improve cost structure.
We have experience in lean manufacturing, quality circle, Kaizen,
methods available to support projects and provide necessary training.
Women and Minority Owned Business Services
The GALC will continue
to support our OE and Tier-one partners in their effort to increase
minority content with special events and promotional programs.
We will provide services to the MBE suppliers utilizing our relationships
and expertise to match the suppliers to customer requests. We will
provide the MBE’s with marketing, sales support, and administrative
services as requested to help them qualify as a potential supplier.
Human Resources and Staffing Issues
In many operations the key to success or failure is the quality,
knowledge, and productivity of the staff and team members. The
establishment of an appropriate organizational structure, including
job descriptions, work rules, handbooks, compensation and incentive
compensation programs are essential to creating a high performance
work team. We have the experienced staff to assist in developing
the appropriate programs and can provide the support and training to assure
a successful implementation.
Manufacturing Plant Consolidations and Moves
Whether
due to down sizing, mergers and acquisitions, lean manufacturing
exercises, product rationalizations, many companies find it necessary
to reorganize their facilities. The GALC can provide the expertise
to help plan and implement these moves, from start to finish. As
a group we have participated in “Greenfield” projects
in the US and Mexico, including site selections, facility construction,
equipment and technology relocation, operational startups, joint
ventures, and alliances.
Quality Systems Development
The OE’s
and major Tier-one suppliers require that prospective suppliers
meet the basic QS 9000, TS 16949, etc standards to be eligible
as a supplier. The Global Advanced-Leadership Center can provide
project leadership and expert staff to help develop the necessary procedures
and documentation leading to a certification.
